Here are some suggestions for memorable road trips to undertake from Denver.

Trail Ridge Road and Rocky Mountain National Park

This spectacular road takes you through the heart of Rocky Mountain National Park. Start your adventure by driving west on US-36 to Estes Park, the gateway to the park. From there, take Trail Ridge Road (US-34), which winds through alpine landscapes and offers breathtaking views of snow-capped peaks, verdant meadows, and crystal-clear lakes. At certain altitudes, the road reaches over 3,700 meters, making this experience an extraordinary adventure. Return to Denver via Granby and US-40 for a complete loop.

Mount Evans Scenic Byway
