What is cancellation insurance for?

Cancellation insurance protects you financially in case of an unexpected cancellation of your trip. It allows you to be reimbursed for all or part of the expenses incurred, according to the terms of the contract, under specific circumstances described in the insurance policy. It offers you peace of mind when booking expensive services or events, by minimizing financial losses in case of unforeseen events.

Does this cancellation insurance apply to my flight tickets?

No, the cancellation insurance offered with the Serenity+ Pack as part of your motorcycle rental applies only to your motorcycle reservation, and thus up to the amount of your reservation (excluding the deductible applied by the insurer).

We offer you an option to extend your cancellation insurance to your entire trip and thus cover all your expenses such as flight tickets, hotels, taxis, ferries, parking, etc. Click here to learn more

I no longer want to travel, will I be reimbursed?

No, that is neither the role nor the objective of cancellation insurance.
Cancellation insurance covers unforeseen situations that are beyond the control of the insured, such as sudden illness, accident, family death, professional obligation, and other cases detailed in the AssurTravel general terms and conditions.

Is there a deductible?

Yes, the insurer AssurTravel applies a deductible. You will find all the details and compensation conditions in the general conditions available in your customer area.

Obligations in case of cancellation

Very important information on the second page of the AssurTravel general conditions that we wish to inform you about:

You must MANDATORILY cancel as soon as a medical problem occurs to you or one of your relatives, which could immediately or later prevent your departure. To avoid expiration, the insured or their beneficiaries must notify the insurer and CoolDrive of the incident within five days from the day they became aware of it, except in case of fortuitous event or force majeure.

How to make a compensation claim?

If you had to cancel your reservation and wish to submit your compensation claim, contact the insurer's customer service by one of the following means:

This process must be carried out by you as soon as possible. Proof of expenses incurred and the reason for your cancellation will be requested. CoolDrive will of course send you the invoice detailing the cancellation fees

Where to find the insurer's general conditions?

You will find them in your customer area, in the "My reservations" section, on the reservation(s) benefiting from this insurance.

Loss and theft of baggage insurance
insurance offered in the Serenity+ Pack
or included in the BasicCover Pack

The Baggage Guarantee covers:

1/ Reimbursement of your luggage, valuables, and personal items, except those expressly excluded in AssurTravel conditions, in case of loss, theft, or total or partial destruction, or in case of loss of baggage during transport by a carrier company.

2/ Reimbursement of expenses for the purchase of essential items upon presentation of proof if your personal luggage is not returned to you at the destination airport and if it is returned with more than 24 hours delay.

Available additional options

The FullCover pack

Benefit from a package of complementary insurances to the Serenity+ Pack (offered) and the BasicCover Pack to protect you at all levels during your trip, with:

• Trip interruption insurance,
• Missed departure/late arrival insurance,
• Repatriation assistance,
• Medical expenses,
• Personal liability,
• Accident insurance,
• and Airport closure coverage.

The FullCover Pack is available on the options selection page before making your reservation. You can also add it within 48 hours of confirming your reservation.

Extending coverage to your entire trip

The insurances included in the Serenity+, BasicCover, and FullCover Packs initially and exclusively apply to your motorcycle reservation.

You can extend these insurances to your entire trip (plane, hotel, taxi, ferry, train, ...), within 48 strict hours following your motorcycle reservation. To do this:

1/ Go to your customer area in the "My reservations" section
2/ Check the box "I want to extend my coverage to my entire trip"
3/ Enter the total amount of your trip including the motorcycle rental,
4/ Pay the additional insurance premium to validate your request,
4/ A confirmation email will be sent to you after your payment.
